So long May

Wow! I cannot believe that May has come and gone so quickly. And what a busy month it has been! The house renovation is FINISHED (except for one minor little hiccup which we are hoping to get fixed ASAP), the new blinds and shutters are in (I promise to do a seperate post soon of the finished product), another semester is complete for my grad school and Tyler is wrapping up another school year at Lansdowne High.

And while we have been super busy with all of these things, we have found the time to squeeze in some super fun things too this past month.

We spent Friday nights at Tyler's lacrosse games. Ty had a good season splitting time in the goal and running some midfield. He found a great group of guys to play with this season.

Yay # 14!

We also celebrated both of my parents this month celebrating Mother's Day on May 13th along with my father's 70th birthday. Sorry, I've been bad with the pictures lately, and have nothing from those events :-(

We also got to take a weekend trip to New York City to take in the sights and help one of my closest friends celebrate her 28th birthday! Thanks to Christen and Brandon for being such wonderful hosts!

Some of the crew out at the Forum celebrating the birthday girl.

We had to get a picture with the Empire State Building, and here she is!

We spent the last weekend in May (Memorial Day Weekend), just relaxing and enjoying a quiet weekend in Baltimore. We spent Friday night at an Orioles game with some folks I work with. Then the rest of the weekend saw pool time, sleeping in and a couple of great meals at my parents house.

Enjoying our wonderful suite at the game with great friends, good food and great seats!

Me along with two of my co-workers, Kristen and Justin.

Fireworks to end the night

So long May, we are looking forward to what should be a wonderful summer filled with birthdays, weddings, a week at the beach and lots of pool time!

Welcome to the World of Dog TV

We can see the light at the end of the tunnel!! It sounds like today is the last day of renovation de casa Martin. Leaving this morning, the contractor said that they had some painting/sanding/spakling to finish and that was that! Music to my ears! It literally feels like we are living in a brand new house. It may be hard to see from the pictures, but it is just so... different. I can't think of any other way to describe it.

One of the additions we made to the house during this renovation, was adding a storm door on the front of the house. It has a full glass panel so when we are home we can leave the front door open and get lots of light into the house. And with this we also have two little pooches that can now watch the neighborhood. We have named this dog TV. So engrossed...

Also, you can see that the new front door has been put on, but unfortunately it is the wrong style. So a new door is on order and should be here in 2-3 weeks. So we will see our contractor friends again, but only for a hot second as they take off one door off of the hinges to put on the new door.

And now the fun really begins! Time to decorate and paint! Keep checking back for updates!
